‘Pink’ Ceremony Held to Benefit American Cancer Society and Kick Off Construction of Luxury Multifamily Development off Las Vegas Boulevard
LAS VEGAS – Sept. 17, 2020 – Grand Canyon Development Partners, Martin-Harris Construction, and the owners of Ariva have teamed up for a unique groundbreaking ceremony that supports American Cancer Society and also marks the construction launch of Ariva luxury apartments.
On Sept. 17, executives with both companies joined others, including County Commissioner Michael Naft, to break ground for the resort-style community while also bringing “pink” to the picture as part of the “Real Men Wear Pink” campaign. The men not only donned pink hard hats and vests and used shovels with pink ribbons, but they also joined the Ariva developers to present donations to the American Cancer Society. The movement encourages men to show the power of pink in support and solidarity to bring communities together in the fight against breast cancer.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place on the 30-acre Ariva site, situated off Las Vegas Boulevard, just south of Cactus Road and north of Starr. The project will include over 900,000 square feet of living space among more than 750 units. The contemporary designed complex will include four pools, a spa, clubhouse, yoga studio, LED swings and an elevated community Skydeck.
Guy Martin, president of Martin-Harris Construction, echoed his sentiments, adding, “we are proud to assist the American Cancer Society’s mission to support patients, fund and conduct research, and spread awareness about prevention in the fight against breast cancer.”
Also taking part at the groundbreaking event was County Commissioner Michael Naft, the Ariva owners, and representatives with the American Cancer Society and Bank of Nevada, which funded the project. Ariva will have various phases to the development, with its first multifamily homes being completed in summer 2022.
