It’s time to break the cycle! Give Tribe; a local nonprofit is hosting their 2nd bi-annual Breakout event on Thursday, October 10 at the Pearson Community Center. Breakout is a youth forum with special guest speakers and available resources and tools for youth to have access to at the event. The youth are brought in by local nonprofits, schools, and community programs which focus on assisting youth in preventing them from becoming a part of the system.
Give Tribe assists the community by filling a need and working with current organizations to amplify their efforts, programs, and assist in areas these organizations need the most support. Give Tribe is known for their yearly Teddy Bear challenge benefiting the Children’s Heart Foundation and Backpack Drive that helps churches, schools, nonprofits, and community programs have backpacks and supplies for kids and youth at the beginning of the school year.
Breakout will feature special guest speakers, including returning keynote speaker, Nick Santonastasso, a young entrepreneur who is born with Hanhart Syndrome – an extremely rare genetic disorder that caused Nick to be born with no legs, only one arm, and one finger. Motivational speaker, Justina Page, a burn survivor, who has transformed her loss of tragedy to pave the road of hope and inspiration for others. The room will be filled with accessible resources for jobs, education, and emotional support for youth to take away by the end of the event.
Breakout is set for Thursday, October 10, 2019, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pearson Community Center, 1625 W. Carey Ave. N. Las Vegas, NV 89032. Limited tickets are available by emailing Give Tribe at givetribe@gmail.com.
