Scholarships for Not-for-Profit Professionals
Compassion Integrity Training
August 18-20, 2019, Las Vegas, NV
Registration Open at charterforcompassion.org
Forbes Magazine reports that more companies are investing in a culture of mindfulness and compassion; yet, not-for-profit organizations often lack the funds for pricey personal and professional development programs. In response, The Charter for Compassion is offering not-for-profits scholarships for Compassion Integrity Training (CIT) to be held Sunday, August 18 through Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Stillpoint Center for Spiritual Development in Las Vegas, Nevada.
CIT, a secular, resiliency-informed program that cultivates
human values as skills, supports deeply integrating compassion into thoughts
and actions by teaching methodologies for improving self-awareness, calming
thoughts and emotions, and effectively interacting with others. The curriculum
draws from neuroscience, psychology, trauma-informed care, peace and conflict
studies, and contemplative sciences. The program has proved an effective method
of self-care and skills development for individuals, as well as in business,
educational, and correctional settings.
The suggested investment for enrollment and participation in CIT is $250; however, Charter for Compassion extends individuals, educators, health care professionals, self-employed consultants, and not-for-profits a scholarship offer enabling them to pay for this skills development training at the level they can afford.
