Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada (CCSN) hosted its Feed Vegas Celebration and Meal, wrapping the month-long ‘Feed Vegas’ campaign inside the St. Vincent Lied Dining Facility. The meal comes as CCSN recognizes its 78th anniversary this month.
Nearly 100 volunteers helped prepare and serve the meal, feeding more than 1,100 vulnerable and in-need clients. Volunteers were also recognized at the event for their continuous efforts and commitments to helping the homeless and at-risk community in Southern Nevada.
Across all of its services, CCSN serves more than 2 million meals per year. Its pantry provides 1.2 million pounds of food, its dining room provides nearly 250,000 meals to those in-need and its Meals on Wheels program serves more than 2,100 isolated homebound seniors daily.
