No Water available for Day or Overnight Services at Owens Campus
LAS VEGAS – The Salvation Army Southern Nevada is putting out an emergency call for bottled water needed to support the work at their campus on W. Owens Avenue near Main Street in North Las Vegas. Their overnight shelter, accommodating approximately 335 nightly across the campus, as well as meals, programs, and services which assist up to 1,000 each day, have no water to offer clients.
Whether it is hot or cold, we live in a desert and dehydration is something we all fight against. For those on the streets, it can be deadly. They often depend on services such as those offered by The Salvation Army to provide the water necessary for their very survival.
